Testa
minuta, angusta, crassiuscula, anfractibus postice crenulatis; ultimo conico
angusto, antice striato; apertura angusta quasi dupla quam spira.
C’est une petite espèce très intéressante par l’
analogie intime qu’ elle a avec le C. parisiensis Desh. et le protractus
eyer. Probablement elle est identique de ces espèces et son nom a le droit
de la priorité. J'ai uni mon nom à celui de Lea, car la figure de Lea laisse
quelque doute pour l'identification.— (Coll. mon Cabinet).
It is a very interesting
small species due to the intimate analogy it has with C. parisiensis
Desh. and the protractus
Meyer. Probably it is identical to these species and its name has the right of
priority. I joined my name to that of Lea, because the face of Lea leaves some
doubt for the identification.

Shell conical, smooth, polished, thick ; whorls , flat, transversely
striate above, longitudinally and obliquely folded below the angle ; Sutures
small; base striated ; mouth very narrow.
Length Breadth 12 of an inch. sys
Remarks.—This little shell has nothing remarkable about it, except its
folds near the shoulder, which, together with its small Size, distinguish it
from the C. sauridens of Conrad.
